BOOT CAMP

OutFIT Fitness Boot Camps Are:
A daily workout class for people seriously committed to improving their health and fitness.

No Matter What Your Fitness Level Is Now:
We'll work you hard & harder than ever before, but we'll also treat you as adults worthy of respect, not like little children to be yelled at.

The Low-Down:
Class meets one hour a day, five days a week [Dolores Park only meets three days a week], for five weeks at a time. You are expected to commit to being at class, on time, ready to workout, everyday.

What You'll Experience:
- improved cardiovascular health
- improved muscle strength, tone and definition
- improved flexibility to prevent injury and ensure continual gains.

In general, you will find yourself surrounded by a supportive group of people, including someone who is in simi liar shape and you. (No matter what shape you are in now.) Each day and week get progressively more difficult, to help you progress through plateaus and reach new fitness levels.

It's difficult to describe a "typical" day, because every day is different, but here's a simple breakdown:

Monday/Wednesday/Friday:
The classes are more cardio-focussed workouts.

We may do:
- a beach or forest obstacle course
- rope jumping
- stair or hill climbing
- military fitness drills
- track speed training
- sand speed/resistance training
- plyometrics (speed/strength training drills)
- stamina building endurance courses
- steep stair drills
- and/or a variety of other exercises that emphasize improving your overall cardiovascular health, the body's natural fat burning mechanism.

Tuesday/Thursday:
The classes are more strength/toning/defining based workouts. This work is always interspersed with some "fast and effective" cardio spurts to rev up your metabolism.

On these days, we may:
- perform a series of free weight exercises
- use exercise bands/tubes
- do a series of isometric and isotonic strengthening/conditioning
- perform calisthenics: push-ups, pull-ups, lunges, squats
- do plyometrics
- do yoga
- do pilates.

We do abdominal exercises everyday.

All classes begin and end with stretching to help prevent sports related injuries.

All of our certified instructors stress proper form, technique and overall SAFETY.

Every class is specially designed to rev your metabolism, maximize your fitness potential and boost your energy all day long.

More That Makes Our Program Stand Out:

- The purpose of each five week session is to SEE RESULTS & reach at least one of your specific goals -- and then continue on with lifetime commitment to better health.

- We're also a community of healthy people. If you want to use this class as a social community, we're okay with that & as long as you work well with and realize that & many other people are here to get a killer workout. There's room enough for all of us.

Personal Responsibility:
If you want to spend money on dreams of a better body/life & join a gym and then not show up. Order exercise equipment and don't use it.

BUT, if you really, really want to see RESULTS & all you have to do is get here everyday. We'll provide the motivation, inspiration and FUN.

We guide you through exactly what you need to do to get RESULTS.

Please remember to bring a towel, water and a well-rested body. Dress in layers...we play outside!

In extreme weather, the instructor will determine if we are able to move to an indoor location, or provide you a coupon for one class to be used in the current or subsequent session.
